Northwest Gymnastics Training Center's gymnasts prepare for competition

On Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, the Northwest Gymnastics Training Center's girls team will be in Eugene, OR working their skills. This group of talented young girls is dedicated to making gymnastics in Gresham the best it can be. During last season, at the state championships in Eugene, OR, the team took home 15 state championship titles with 14 girls. This weekend, the girls levels 4-6 will be competing against several other teams.
Our girls, and parents are the most energetic and friendly team around! At our state meet last spring, the owner and manager of a team in Eugene, OR sent us an award for 'friendliest team'.
Said Danita Rigert, Head coach and co-founder of NGTC.

Lets hope these gymnasts have a fun and safe trip to Eugene, as well as a fun and safe meet!

Two long time highschool rivals face off

On Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, two long time high school rivals compete in a "big" football game.
Gresham Union High school and Sam Barlow High school face off at Gresham, Oregon's Mt. Hood Community College.  For Barlow, this will be their homecoming game.  For Gresham, this is just the usual Football game, except the fact they are playing their rivals so it should be a little more upbeat. Gresham, being 2-5, would like to put this game in the bag with a "W".  Barlow, on the other hand, being 5-2 would also like this win, not only because it's their homecoming, but also because they are playing their long time rivals.
I am not going to go to the game because it will be a waste of my time and money.  I know Barlow is going to end up crushing us because our football team SUCKS!
Stated a student at Gresham.
Several other students also said similar things about their team at Gresham.
I am just going because I want to hang out with my friends.  I don't really care about the game and who we are playing, even if it is our homecoming game.
Said a Barlow student.
This should end up being a good game, between two inter-district rivals
